The Technology

At Gude Inc., we pride ourselves on delivering bespoke water treatment solutions that cater to our valued customers' diverse and specific requirements. Our approach is rooted in a deep understanding of the complexities inherent in water treatment challenges across various industries and applications.

WTU-ONE

Safe and readily available water is essential for public health, whether used for drinking, domestic use, food production, or recreational purposes. Improved water supply and sanitation and better management of water resources can boost countries’ economic growth and contribute significantly to poverty reduction.

Water Treatment Units are an effective means of managing small to large—rural or urban, residential, commercial, or mixed-use—master-planned communities. They support short—and long-term social development and help eradicate water-based diseases and contaminants from water sources of all kinds.

The WTU is a customized system that turns bacteria-infested water into clean, safe, bacteria-free water in seconds. The system is an all-encompassing self-contained equipment size of a small office desk. The design and functionality make for a hassle-free application, from essential communal use, rural/urban areas, and industrial applications to disaster-prone locales.

The design is a Lego block system where the equipment is modularized and assembled depending on the water source and the capacity needed. The unit can be supplied directly with any power source (110v or 240v) if grid power is available. Where grid power is an issue, it is designed to be powered with its solar panel supplied with the unit and a proprietary innovative battery system. For mobile applications, the unit can be mounted on a truck, and the lead lines can be directly tied into the vehicle alternator to charge the system while the vehicle is in motion. This will, therefore, provide clean water wherever and whenever needed.

All equipment will need to be housed in a secure building and may require the installation of storage tanks. Gude, Inc. will assist in providing specific mechanical and plumbing requirements according to each particular setup.

Well-ONE

The quality and safety of water from domestic wells is rarely regulated. Instead, individual well owners and users are responsible for maintaining their domestic well systems and monitoring water quality. These wells are the sole source of drinking water and water for other household needs for most people in many rural areas. Health risks associated with contaminants in domestic well water include gastrointestinal illness related to bacteria and other pathogens and exposure to elevated concentrations of nitrate, heavy metals, radon, lead, and organic compounds.

Typically, the water supplied by domestic wells is not routinely tested. As a result, people using domestic supply wells could drink water with elevated concentrations of some contaminants.

The Well Treatment Unit is a low-cost, effective, and efficient healthy water treatment system capable of removing all well water contaminants. This stand-alone treatment system can be operated from either a standard electric supply, 110V or 240V, single phase, 50-60 Hz, or 12VDC from solar cells, batteries, generators, etc. The system uses the following treatment steps to treat well water at the point of use:

1) Prefiltration using a self-cleaning sediment filter.

2) Nanofiltration to remove all divalent salts, including iron, manganese, arsenic, magnesium, etc.;

3) Proprietary Desalination mechanism to remove salinity.

4) Disinfection using UV and surface contact.

SEWAGE-ONE

Septic tanks are common domestic treatment facilities in the developing world. It performs primary sewage storage before being discharged through a soak-away unit or truck hauling service. It has also been used as a pretreatment unit for disposal of domestic sewage, where it is used in conjunction with an effluent soak-away unit. It can also fulfill a role as a primary treatment device in a small sewage treatment plant. The function of the tank is to receive wastewater, separate solids from the liquid, provide limited digestion of the solids, and allow the liquid to discharge for further treatment or disposal. The soak-away Unit allows the effluent to seep into the ground and use natural processes to treat bacteria.

Despite the general acceptability of this treatment facility in managing sewage from domestic sources, septic tank effluents have been reported to be high in suspended solids, BOD, bacteria, and phosphorus. As a process, sedimentation alone is not highly effective in removing pollutants, and the septic tank is subject to interference from other methods.

The Sewage Treatment Unit uses three distinct stages of treatment.

1) Simultaneous biological aerobic and anoxic treatment of the organic material breaks down solids and treats nitrogen and phosphorous through a combination of proprietary bio media and high-capacity aeration technology.

2) The membrane separation phase treats water for nitrogen and phosphorous, as well as filtrating and treating any remaining suspended solids.

3) Ozone disinfection technology is used as a final stage to ensure treated water meets surface discharge and reuse standards.

DESAL-ONE

The Desalination Unit can take contaminated sea or salinity brackish water and convert it to drinking water standards. The process consists of filtration followed by Surface-Assisted Crystallization, called SEAination.

The SEAination method uses a specially prepared material to adsorb salts selectively, even when they are well below their saturation concentration. We have also developed other separation methods that selectively remove water-soluble contaminants, such as aromatic hydrocarbons, alkyl fluorinated chemicals, etc. The difference between our technology and current desalination systems is that our system can be off-grid and has much lower power consumption. This stand-alone treatment system can be operated from either a standard electric supply, 110V or 240V, single phase, 50-60 Hz, or 48VDC from solar cells, batteries, generators, etc.

Each unit is designed to run for 20 hours daily and produce up to 22,800 liters daily.

BACKPACK-ONE

The Backpack-1 is a customized, fully portable water treatment device capable of treating bacteria, algae, and virus-laced water anywhere, turning it into clean and safe water in seconds. The design and functionality make for a versatile device that can be used in a wide variety of applications, such as field military use, recreational outdoor activities, emergency disasters, and general in-home use.

The unit is designed to be powered by its own solar panel and a proprietary smart battery system at 12 - 24VDC. If grid power is available, it can be supplied directly with any 110v or 240v power source. Each unit can flow up to 1.9 liters per minute, and the filters will last 1,895 liters before requiring replacement.

The system uses the following treatment steps to treat water at its source:

1) Prefiltration to remove any sediments

2) Proprietary nanofiltration to remove contaminants

3) Proprietary electrolytic technology for additional sanitization

Our nanofiltration is an electro-adsorptive technology that is not directly comparable to any other water purification media currently on the market. Due to its crystal structure, the mineral creates a natural, strong positive charge, which attracts the negative charge on most submicron contaminants.

Our nanofiltration is a new technology that represents an alternative to membranes. It can efficiently remove harmful contaminants (submicron particulates, organic acids, viruses, bacteria, cysts, cell debris, and trace pharmaceuticals) from water.

The Backpack-1 has been designed for direct draw applications. The various technologies incorporated into the unit combine to give the resulting output a clean and refreshing taste without adding minerals.

All components comply with NSF/ANSI 42 applicable drinking water requirements.

FRACKING-ONE

This outlines a novel desalination process called (DFD). The DFD process utilizes dry ice nanoparticles to freeze water, separating it from high dissolved salts (TDS) concentrations. This method offers a potentially more energy-efficient and cost-effective alternative to traditional desalination methods, particularly for highly saline wastewater such as produced water from oil and gas operations.

· The DFD process uses a unique approach, leveraging the sublimation of dry ice nanoparticles to induce freezing of water and salt separation. DFD directly freezes the water instead of traditional methods like evaporation or reverse osmosis.

· DFD simplifies the water treatment process. It doesn't require the extensive pre-treatment often needed by reverse osmosis membranes. The method is implemented as a decentralized system and can be scaled up for a larger area and a higher demand for fresh water.

· The DFD process produces fresh water and creates a concentrated salt slurry, which can be further processed to recover valuable minerals and salts such as sodium carbonate and lithium.

· Technology is positioned as both scalable for large-scale applications (coastal areas, industrial sites) and suitable for smaller, decentralized systems.

INFRASTRUCTURE

Our water equipment has been designed in a facility format with 20 pieces of equipment per facility of approximately 3,000 square feet. The units and facility will be powered by solar and battery or with direct AC power provided by the community.
